Softwave PDF Toolkit does your document work on your device. Your PDFs are not uploaded to us, we have no server that stores them, and there is no account to create. We do not sell your data or share it with data brokers. The only data that leaves your phone does so for advertising.
Scanning, compressing, splitting, merging, converting, protecting, editing, repairing and text extraction all run entirely on your device. Files you create or import are kept in the app's own private storage folder, and copied to the save location you choose in Settings. We never receive them, and they are not backed up to any server we control. Deleting the app removes its private folder and everything left in it.
The Scan tool uses your camera to photograph documents. Capture is handled by Google's on-device document scanner; the images become a PDF on your phone and are not sent to us. The app only opens the camera when you tap Scan.
If you save a default password for the Protect tool, it is stored encrypted on your device using Android's Keystore. It is never transmitted anywhere and we cannot read it. Passwords applied to individual PDFs are used at the moment you protect the file and are not retained. There is no password recovery — if you lose a password, the file cannot be opened.
The free version shows a single banner advertisement on the Home screen, served by Google AdMob. To serve those ads, Google may collect your device's advertising ID along with device and ad-interaction information, and may use it to personalise ads. This is governed by Google's own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy and you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings under Privacy > Ads. Buying "Remove ads" stops the app requesting or displaying any advertisement.
The one-time "Remove ads" purchase is processed by Google Play. We never see your payment details. The app stores only a single yes/no flag on your device recording that the purchase was made, and asks Google Play to confirm it when the app starts.
Tapping "Send feedback" opens your own email app with a message addressed to us. If you choose to send it, we will see your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to fix what you reported.
There is no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no third-party tracker in this app. We do not collect your location, contacts, or browsing activity. We do not require an account, and we do not build a profile of you.
Camera — used only by the Scan tool. Internet and network state — used to load the banner advertisement. The app needs no storage permission because it works inside its own private folder and uses Android's system file picker for anything outside it.
Softwave PDF Toolkit is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your Android settings. You can remove ads entirely with the one-time purchase. You can delete any file from within the app, and uninstalling removes the app's private storage. Because we do not hold your documents or an account for you, there is nothing on our side to request or erase.
If this policy changes, the updated version will ship with a new version of the app and the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the app after an update means the revised policy applies.
